The Sugababes are Award-winning female pop group trio from London, England formed in 1998. The Sugababes were originally composed of Mutya Buena, Siobhan Donaghy, & Keisha Buchanan. Mutya and Keisha have been friends since they were 8 years old. They met Siobhan at a party and soon discovered that they loved to sing and decided to form a group called “Sugababes”. They chose the name at the age of 12 and 13 cause at the time they were still eating baby food! They found a manager and were signed to London Records and began working on their debut album. Over time these young women (still in their teens) have matured into formidable singers, songwriters and producers crafting catchy and feisty pop songs.
They co-wrote all their songs & did their own melodies. With over 40 tracks done it was hard for the girls to decide which to put on the album. I The Sugababes released their debut album “One Touch”, to a rave of reviews, in November of 2000. It included 4 top 30 hits such as Overload(6), New Year(12), Run For Cover(13), and Soul Sound(30).They have also had much success overseas such as Germany, Australia, and Japan to name a few.
In 2003 they won a Brit Award for “Best Dance Act”, and in 2006 were named the UK all-female act of the 21st century from British Hit Singles And Albums, beating international acts such as Britney Spears and Madonna.

Ya, my friends, let me remember the album of Westlife named Face To Face. I’m not a big fun of Westlife, but simply like a good music. Me opinion is that Face To Face is good music. I know that pop isn’t a mainstream now, but Westlife made a good album and I’m absolutely out of interest what music genre the one has. I recently saw Westlife in concert and thought they were outstanding so decided to buy this CD. I have listened to it many times and think it is really good. There are 12 tracks on the CD including some lovely ballads like ‘You raise me up’, ‘Colour my world’ and ‘Heart without a home’. There is a beautiful song with Diana Ross called ‘When you tell me that you love me’. There are a few more up tempo numbers including ‘Hit you with the real thing’ and ‘Change your mind’. The hit single ‘Amazing’ is also on the cd. It’s a really good CD which I would definitely recommend. It is the kind of arrangement which Celine Dion would baulk at as being a bit too showy. They choose another well-worn song and make it their own with When You Tell Me That You Love Me, calling in no less a guest than Diana Ross.

It’s huge, stirring and, yes, a mite cheesy. Their version of You Raise Me Up is a great, gigantic mountain of cheese, but, as Wallace would perhaps observe… it’s cracking cheese, Gromit. Other covers include The Eagles’ Desperado - a soppy but convincing version it is, too. There is the odd harder sound like She’s Back - a tidy bit of electro-funk with a definite 1980s feel. But Westlife - always the boy band who really could sing - do the softer, more climactic songs best.

Jessica Simpson has made a great album which can be listened to anywhere and any time, and the inclusion of the covered songs on this album means you will instantly start to enjoy the album as you will already be familiar with some songs, and will be able to sing along from the start. I’m no big fan of Jessica Simpson myself, but I have to say that she has got a good voice and some of the songs on the album are very good. First of all, Jessica Simpson  is still a pop singer. Some say pop is dead, and with Justin, Britney, and Christina turning more R&B or hip-hop, Simpson remains the same powerful pop star. There is a sense of R&B on “With You” and “My Way Home,” but she is the most effective when she sticks to the pop that she knows will work. There is no denying that Simpson has a great voice, but her voice is relied on too much to carry this album. Some songs, such as “In This Skin” and “Be,” are boring and have weak production. It is not hard to listen to a ballad and enjoy it, but when a few of them sound very similar and they’re not amusing to listen to, they blend and the overall impression of the album suffers. In This Skin contains a few surprises, though; including “Forbidden Fruit,” a track unabashedly inspired by Madonna’s “Music,” and “Loving You,” a seductively contrived reminder that, with teen pop long dead, Simpson should be aiming to recapture the club audience that helped launch her career with “I Wanna Love You Forever”.

Jessica Simpson nowadays is one of the famous artists of the world. She has thousands fans all over the world, especially in USA.  Jessica Simpson’s singing talent was discovered at a church summer camp in Dallas, Texas. Jessica then went on to tour Chistian conferences singing tunes like True Love Waits. Jessica Simpson also tried out for a part on the Mickey Mouse Club when she was only 12 but she didn’t get the part. In the late ’90s, Jessica Simpson made the switch from Christian music to pop. Jessica Simpson signed with Columbia Records and released her album Sweet Kisses. The album launched Jessica Simpson’s career and featured hits like I Wanna Love You Forever and I Think I’m In Love. Simpson’s second album, Irresistible, showed Jessica’s more flirty, sexy side. Jessica Simpson then came out with In This Skin in August of 2003 and a lot of the songs were inspired by her marriage to Nick Lachey. Simpson’s third album, the much more mature In This Skin, appeared in July. First single “Sweetest Sin” was a moderate chart hit, but thanks to the success of Newlyweds, Simpson’s teetering career got a second chance.

A second single, “With You,” was a favorite among the MTV crowd, and by spring 2004, In This Skin was re-released. It included reworked versions of Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” and Robbie Williams’ “Angels” as well as additional footage from the first season of Newlyweds. November 2005 brought confirmation of rumors that Simpson and Lachey were breaking up. On June 30, 2006, their divorce was finalized. Simpson hosted the Teen Choice Awards in August 2006, and appeared on The View in September 2006 as the first choice of new co-host Rosie O’Donnell.
Simpson then returned to the recording studio, switching labels from Columbia to Epic Records. Her fourth album, A Public Affair, was released on August 29, 2006 via Epic Records. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 with 101,000 copies sold in its first week. The first single, “A Public Affair” (# 14, 2006), reached the Top 20 of the Hot 100 but quickly fell off the charts. The music video for “A Public Affair” featured Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate, Christina Milian, Maria Menounos, Andy Dick and Ryan Seacrest. A second single, “I Belong To Me,” was also released through her website and is now included on the CD itself. The single’s video appeared on TRL countdowns, but quickly fell off.
Jessica’s father Joe Simpson stated to People Magazine on September 11, 2007 that Jessica is considering doing a country album. Joe told People that Jessica is “talking about doing a country record and going back to her roots, being from Texas.”
The country album has been confirmed for a 2008 release, via Columbia Records.

Pal Waaktaar and Magne Furuholmen, formerly of Bridges formed a-ha in the early ’80s. Morten Harket joined the duo, and they left for the now ‘legendary London flat’ (so called because of its state of disrepair) to make it. By late 1983 they had achieved part of that goal by signing to WEA. “Take on Me” took three times to become a hit in the UK, eventually hitting #2 in November 1985. Going one better in the U.S. mainly due to the wide exposure of its stunning video on MTV, which fused animation with real-life action, their only further hit there was “The Sun Always Shines on T.V.” which became a UK number one in early ‘86 helping take the album Hunting High and Low to the Top Ten. Mostly an album of synth-pop, the press were quick to dismiss them as a teeny bop sensation; however, there was more to a-ha than met the ear in Waaktaar’s writing and a matured effort Scoundrel Days, which was released in October, 1986. More focused, it had a stronger band feel thanks to live drumming displayed to great lengths on “The Swing of Things and lead single “I’ve Been Losing You” — a shock to critics at the time.

Further striking imagery accompanied “Cry Wolf.” After a world tour, a-ha supplied the soundtrack to the James Bond flick The Living Daylights. A remix appeared on their third album, Stay on These Roads, in 1988. Considered lackluster, Stay on These Roads did feature some interesting lyrics in “Blood That Moves the Body,” regarding the over-intense affection the Japanese had for popular icons in their kamikaze-like suicides. On a lighter note, one of the famous quotes of this period came from Waaktaar: commenting on Def Leppard’s success with Hysteria, he scoffed that a-ha were more rock & roll! In 1990, a-ha were commended by the Everly Brothers for their rendition of “Crying in the Rain” from their fourth album, East of the Sun, West of the Moon, which was largely ignored in the U.K. due to a shift in interests towards dance and Manchester scene. 1993 heralded some much needed new blood in the U2 terrain of “Dark Is the Night” from the Memorial Beach album. Following the unfortunate lack of success following Memorial Beach, Furuholmen retreated into the art world while Waaktaar released the album Mary Is Coming with his new band Savoy. Seven years after the release of Memorial Beach, a-ha issued Minor Earth Major Sky in summer 2000. Lifelines from 2002 sold well in Europe and was followed by a lengthy tour, documented on the live album How Can I Sleep With Your Voice in My Head, which was released in 2003. A year later the band celebrated their 20th anniversary by releasing Singles 1984-2004, a collection that would put them back on the U.K. Top 20 Albums chart. In July of 2005 the band performed in Berlin as part of the massive worldwide event Live8. In November they released the new album Analogue. It was supported by a worldwide tour that included gigs in Russia and a festival in Chile.
