Love Album - Westlife
All the songs from the Westlife Love Album arranged for Piano Voice and Guitar. Album contains 11 songs. Westlife are the authors of great ballades and love songs, so release of the album where love songs and ballades are putting together was probably one of the smartest marketing moves done by their record label. Now when I first looked into getting this album I expected it to be full of new material, I’m not the greatest fan of Westlife but I do quite like some of their songs and as this was aptly titled “The Love Album” I thought it would be one that I enjoyed. Anyway I want to say what this album doesn’t contain a new material but Westlife old ballades and love songs sound so honey: However as I started to listen to the album more and more I quickly tired of it, the fact that you’ve heard most of the songs many times before due to their previous fame and appearance on practically every love album that exists, they lack that longevity appeal that new material would have. My main issue with this album is why they have called it what they have, it doesn’t really distinguish it from any of their previous albums whatsoever as any of their previous albums could easily fit the same title! While researching who sang the original versions of this song I came across a newspaper article that claimed this would have been better titled “The Covers Album” and I have to agree with them.
For fans of Westlife, this is a must have album, and even for those who aren’t fans, it’s worth checking out. One thing that does need to be taken into consideration is that it is an album of covers, and it’s not supposed to be an ingenious piece of art.
