Spirit - Leona Lewis
There are many reasons to like Leona Lewis. I really did enjoy this I cannot get tired of listening to it. What Talent. She really appeals to all ages. She escaped London’s most notorious borough, Hackney, and became the nation’s darling last year as she struggled with nerves on The X Factor. The track which I do enjoy is Bleeding Love this I feel is sung with great emotion and feeling and when I listen to it, just brings a great lump in my throat. “Bleeding Love”, the No 1 single, has its charms. It is far and away the most sophisticated and catchy song here, with the slickly clicking “Whatever It Takes” and “Take A Bow” the only others offering anything close to edginess. I paid some money for the Spirit and I enjoyed listening to all fourteen tracks and Simon Cowell must be very happy with how Leona Has got on in the Music Business and well spotted Simon Cowell. Lewis’s voice is impressively elastic throughout but lacks any grit or style. Yes it would be nice eventually to hear what else she could sing but all I can say what amazing talent and so beautiful with it. Are all vegetarian like as amazing as her if so I will quit meat now! Good Value for money. As mushy as soup, there are no edges at all to Spirit; sadly, there is precious little spirit, either.
